The Vendor Management cum Logistics Executive is responsible for managing vendor relationships, procurement coordination, and end-to-end logistics operations. The role ensures timely availability of materials/services at optimal cost while maintaining strong vendor performance and efficient logistics execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesVendor Management
Identify, onboard, and maintain relationships with vendors, transporters, and service providers
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and service-level agreements (SLAs)
Evaluate vendor performance on quality, cost, and delivery timelines
Coordinate with vendors for purchase orders, confirmations, and dispatch planning
Resolve vendor-related issues such as delays, quality concerns, or billing discrepancies
Maintain vendor database, contracts, and compliance documents
Logistics & Transportation
Plan and coordinate domestic logistics and transportation activities
Liaise with transporters and freight partners for timely dispatch and delivery
Prepare and verify logistics documentation (Invoice, LR, E-way bill, POD, delivery challan)
Track shipments and proactively resolve transit issues
Coordinate with warehouse for packing, loading, unloading, and storage
Ensure compliance with GST, e-way bill, and statutory logistics requirements
Handle reverse logistics and material returns
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with procurement, stores, finance, and project/sales teams
Maintain logistics and vendor MIS, cost reports, and performance dashboards
Monitor logistics costs and identify cost-optimization opportunities
Support audits and ensure documentation readiness
Skills & Competencies
Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills
Knowledge of logistics operations and transportation management
Understanding of GST, e-way bill, and supply chain documentation
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple vendors and shipments simultaneously
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, or Business Administration
3-4 years of experience in vendor management and logistics operations.
Male candidate with own conveyance is preferable
