Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Strong knowledge in Machine shop Background conventional machine production. Expertise in vendor development for mechanical engineering components. Familiarity with vendor availability in and around Coimbatore. Proven experience in production and vendor development. Good communication and negotiation skills. Vendor Development; Sub-contract follow up, co-ordinate with sub-contract parties to achieve planning schedule. Raw Material Knowledge must. Vendor Management / Vendor Development, Supplier Assessment & Supplier Auditing, Cost Negotiation and cost comparison

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain vendor master database and all associated records (audits, certifications, scorecards). Prepare weekly reports on supplier status, RFQ progress, and vendor issues. Assist Manager in preparing MIS and Board review reports for Procurement & Vendor Development. Documentation and reporting skills (Excel, PowerPoint).

Key Competencies:

Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving Attention to detail in audits and compliance Initiative to build systems in a startup environment Ability to manage multiple suppliers and timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

B.E. / B.Tech

in Mechanical / Aerospace / Production Engineering.

02-10

years of experience in vendor development, supplier quality, or sourcing (aerospace, automotive Tier-1 or defence manufacturing preferred). Exposure to manufacturing processes like CNC/VMC machining. Basic understanding of SAP/MRP systems (SAP similar).
