Job Summary

:

The Vegetable Purchaser will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating.

Key Responsibilities

:

Source and procure a wide range of fresh vegetables based on seasonal availability and company needs.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms with vendors and growers.
Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
Monitor market trends, weather conditions, and crop forecasts to make informed purchasing decisions.
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper handling and storage of vegetables.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
Identify and onboard new suppliers as needed to ensure a diversified and reliable supply chain.

Qualifications:

Experience in produce or food purchasing (preferably fresh vegetables).
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Solid understanding of vegetable varieties, seasonality, and quality standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
