Job Summary
The Experienced Service Advisor at
Haribalakrishna Automobiles
is responsible for managing end-to-end customer service operations at the workshop. The role ensures high customer satisfaction, accurate job card preparation, proper coordination with technicians and spare parts teams, and timely vehicle delivery while strictly following Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) service standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Handling & Service Advisory
Greet customers and understand vehicle complaints clearly and accurately.
Prepare detailed job cards with correct fault descriptions and repair instructions.
Explain required repairs, cost estimates, and delivery timelines to customers.
Obtain customer approval for repairs and additional work.
Provide regular updates to customers on vehicle repair status.
Workshop Coordination
Coordinate closely with technicians, workshop supervisors, and spare parts teams.
Ensure correct diagnosis and effective repair of vehicles.
Monitor work progress to meet committed turnaround time (TAT).
Ensure proper quality check and road test before vehicle delivery.
Documentation & Systems
Prepare accurate job cards, invoices, warranty claims, and service reports.
Follow VECV processes for warranty, AMC, recall, and campaign jobs.
Ensure proper use of Dealer Management System (DMS) and VECV service portals.
Maintain complete service history and customer records.
Service Performance & Targets
Achieve service revenue, labor productivity, and customer satisfaction targets.
Promote value-added services such as AMC, extended warranty, and genuine VECV spare parts.
Support breakdown assistance and on-road service coordination when required.
Minimize repeat repairs and ensure first-time-right service quality.
Compliance & Quality
Adhere to VECV service standards, safety guidelines, and dealership policies.
Maintain workshop discipline, cleanliness, and safety practices.
Support internal audits, VECV audits, service campaigns, and technical trainings.
Skills & Competencies
Strong technical knowledge of Volvo Eicher commercial vehicles.
Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
Ability to diagnose issues and guide technicians effectively.
Sound knowledge of warranty policies, DMS, and service KPIs.
Good coordination, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple vehicles simultaneously.
Educational Qualifications
Diploma / ITI / BE / B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience as Service Advisor in a VECV dealership.
Experience handling Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV) and Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV).
Exposure to fleet customers, breakdown management, and AMC handling.
