Job Description

1. Job Summary



The Van Salesman will be responsible for executing secondary sales, ensuring product availability, driving van-based distribution, and maintaining strong relationships with retail outlets across Thrissur. The role requires daily field visits, route management, cash/stock handling, and achieving sales targets while representing the brand professionally.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Distribution



Execute daily van sales operations across the assigned routes in Thrissur. Ensure adequate loading of stock, maintain correct stock levels, and avoid expiries or damages. Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets as assigned. Expand the customer base by onboarding new retailers and maintaining regular follow-ups.

Route Planning & Coverage



Follow the route plan provided and ensure 100% market coverage. Identify market gaps and opportunities to improve product penetration. Ensure timely availability of products across general trade outlets.

Customer Relationship Management



Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers. Handle customer queries, complaints, and service-related concerns professionally. Promote new products, schemes, and offers effectively.

Operational Duties



Handle cash collection from retailers as per company policy and deposit it on time. Ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and reconciliation of daily sales. Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the sales van. Report daily sales, coverage details, competitor activities, and market intelligence.

Compliance & Documentation



Maintain proper records of stock movement, sales, returns, and collections. Adhere to company SOPs related to van operation, HR policies, and financial compliance. Follow all safety measures and traffic rules while driving.

3. Qualifications & RequirementsEducational Qualification



Minimum: SSLC / Plus Two Preferred: Diploma or Graduate in any field

Experience



1-3 years of experience in FMCG van sales or general trade sales (preferred) Freshers with a strong interest in sales may be considered

Skills & Competencies



Basic knowledge of FMCG sales and market trends Good communication and customer-handling skills Ability to meet targets and work under pressure Basic arithmetic and billing ability Familiarity with Thrissur geography and market routes is an added advantage

Other Requirements



Must possess a valid LMV/Commercial driving licence Physically fit to handle loading/unloading of stock
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
