Key Responsibilities:1. Service Sales & Business Development- Identify and pursue aftersales opportunities (AMCs, spare parts, retrofits, upgrades) from existing clients (shipowners, shipyards, marine contractors, industrial clients).- Develop service contracts and preventive maintenance plans tailored to customer needs.- Monitor competitor aftersales strategies (pricing, offerings, warranties) to position VACman competitively.- Prepare commercial offers (including technical specs, QAP, warranties) and negotiate terms.- Maintain a service sales pipeline and track conversions.2. Customer Relationship & Retention- Build long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.- Address customer complaints/escalations and ensure timely resolution (via Service Team Leaders).- Conduct regular customer visits (travel: 10-12 days/month) for service sales pitches and feedback.3. Technical & Regulatory Compliance- Ensure service offerings comply with MARPOL, IN, ICG, and OEM standards.- Liaise with engineering teams to align service solutions with technical requirements.- Oversee warranty claims (coordinate with OEMs/ Service Team Leaders for liquidation).4. Service Operations Coordination- Work with the Aftersales Service Manager / Service Team Leaders to schedule technicians, manage inventory, and ensure service delivery.- Coordinate with VACman Stores, VACman Purchase, VACman Logistics for ensuring spare parts deliveries to the vessel as per Work Schedule.- Ensure STW, HAT, SAT, and commissioning are completed as per contracts.- Track service KPIs (response time, resolution rate, customer satisfaction).5. Profitability & Process Management- Achieve service sales targets (AMCs, spare parts, upgrades).- Optimize pricing strategies to maximize margins while remaining competitive.- Ensure timely invoicing and payment collection for service contracts.
