Key Responsibilities
The Cybersecurity platform (CSP) is a hub of centralized security functions and services, running in a virtualized environment, for urban & mainline mass transit train transportation systems.
We need an experienced IT System Engineer majorly on Linux platform and with scripting, who can work in the R&D Program, at system level, to lead automation of the CSP services and support specification and development of different IT modules.
The following activities will be a part of the job responsibilities.

• Work at overall system level and derive the specifications of the Linux IT modules within the CSP services, as per customer needs, in collaboration with System Engineering Manager and IT engineers.
• Adapt the Linux modules within the CSP platform to the requirements of project stakeholders (project-specific constraints, local regulations, imposed standards)
• Document requirement specifications, architecture, design reviews, release notes, etc.
• Interface with users of IT services on projects to ensure compliance to needs.
• Support penetration testing campaigns for activities which involve the CSP.
• Review test and validation procedures for developed modules.
• Contribute to the training of project stakeholders towards implementation.
• Provide expert support to projects in case of issues in configuration, build and deployment of relevant modules.
• Support to tendering activties related to CSP services, on request.

Key Job Authorities and Dimensions

• Development of Linux IT services/modules of the CSP within defined Quality, Cost and Delays.
• Support to internal customers and Alstom project stakeholders (across geographic locations worldwide)

Performance measurements:
Quality of CSP design and deliverables, in time
Mandatory:

• Experience with direct responsibility for specification, design and deployment of Linux products
• Experience related to deployment of software's in IT environment.

Competencies & Skills

• Technical Background with 4+ years of experience in solution design and deployment role mainly based on Linux.
• Mandatory hands-on experience in an IT/OT environment with design, configuration, and implementation of Linux as below,
• Developing and maintaining shell, python, bash scripts and command-line tools using the scripting language
• Working with system administrators and DevOps engineers to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows.
• Develop the CI /CD pipeline for the Linux based application using the git or similar applications.
• Collaborating with software developers to integrate Bash scripts with applications and services.
• Troubleshooting and debugging scripts and command-line tools
• Proven experience as a Bash Developer or similar role
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and shell scripting
• Acquire experience with open-source tools and libraries, such as awk, sed, grep, and more.
• Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools, such as Ansible and Puppet
• Following design principles to support release management, build, testing, deployment and configuration management.
• Strong documentation (written) and presentation (verbal) skills. MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders (across geographic locations worldwide)
