Job Summary:

We're building a next-generation

API management platform

designed for developers and administrators to onboard, edit, and govern APIs with high performance, real-time validation, and intelligent tooling.

As a

UX Designer

, you will own the design experience for the platform's self-service portal, creating intuitive, developer-friendly workflows and wireframes that simplify complex API lifecycle tasks. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into user-centric designs that balance functionality with simplicity.

Key Responsibilities

Design wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes for the APIM self-service portal. Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and improve user experience. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with technical constraints. Work with product managers to understand business goals and translate them into intuitive user journeys. Define and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries for consistency across the platform. Create responsive layouts optimized for various screen sizes and devices. Advocate for accessibility and usability best practices throughout the design process. Iterate designs based on feedback from stakeholders and end-users.

Required Skills

Proven experience in UX design for complex web applications, preferably in developer tools or API platforms. Proficiency with design and prototyping tools

(Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar)

. Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles. Ability to create low- and high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. Experience with respect to usability testing. Familiarity with responsive design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG). Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have

Experience designing for API lifecycle management tools or developer-focused platforms. Knowledge of APIM concepts, API documentation workflows, and developer onboarding. Familiarity

with front-end technologies (React, TypeScript) to understand implementation constraints

. Exposure to design tokens and theming systems for scalable UI design.
Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,334,928.24 per year
