About the department

You will be organisationally placed in HR DD&IT in GBS, and you will report to the local Head of Develop, Engage and System and you will moreover have a dotted reporting line to the head of UX based in Denmark. You will be part of a UX team with 3 internal UX colleagues and several external UX consultants working in Denmark. Our business model is to scale capacity up and down using UX freelancers pending on requests from the agile teams and there might be ad hoc assignments across the Digital, Data & IT organisation depending on the needs. We have student assistants supporting the UX team with the administrative parts of setting up tests and interviews. The internal IT systems in Novo Nordisk support our 55,000 colleagues globally and our 5,000 managers. Our goal is to create intuitive user experience and business value for our colleagues using these systems. We are anchored in DD&IT Staffs in the global Digital, Data & IT organisation.

The Position

As a UX (User Experience) Researcher, you will support the improvement of user experiences across internal IT platforms at Novo Nordisk. You will act as a user advocate and ambassador for UX in DD&IT GBS. Your primary responsibility will be to drive end to-end user research which includes:

  • Gathering stakeholder requirements and scoping and planning research projects.
  • Application of quantitative (e.g., surveys) and qualitative research methods (e.g., usability testing).
  • Facilitation of ideation sessions and stakeholder workshops. You shall communicate research insights (user journeys, experiences, interaction models) and design decisions to the stakeholders.
  • Analyse and share actionable recommendations with stakeholders, based on collected insights.
  • Ensure close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams of Developers, Product Owners, Architects and Designers, and thereby support development of user-friendly and intuitive internal IT systems.
Qualifications
  • We imagine you to hold a bachelor\'s degree in Digital Design, Business IT or another relevant field or you have worked within this space for an extended period and have an impressive proven track record to showcase. Bachelor or similar graduate degree in Sociology, anthropology, sociology, psychology, economics will be preferred.
  • Experience with various UX research methods, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Proven 5+ years of relevant experience as a UX researcher with a large organization.
  • Experience working with Designers and Programmers to improve the usability of products and other features.
  • Experience with Figma and/or other prototyping tools and Miro and/or other collaboration tools.
  • Self-managed with a positive outlook, strong personal drive, and leadership skills.
  • A strong communicator with solid presentation skills.
  • Able to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Problem-solving attitude.
  • Comfortable with planning and facilitating ideation sessions and workshops.
  • A team player, who excels in a busy environment with a high degree of empowerment
  • Excellent writing, verbal, presentation, communication, and consensus building skills. You must have high cultural sensitivity and ability to work across cultures. Above all you have passion for excellence with a concise, precise, and effective approach to problem solving and decision making.
