The Washing Utility Worker is responsible for cleaning, washing, and sanitizing equipment, tools, and work areas to maintain hygiene, safety, and operational efficiency. This role supports daily operations by ensuring all items are properly cleaned and ready for use according to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash, rinse, and sanitize utensils, equipment, containers, and work tools
Operate washing machines, pressure washers, or manual cleaning tools as required
Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies following safety guidelines
Maintain cleanliness of washing areas, floors, and drains
Inspect cleaned items for cleanliness and report damaged or faulty equipment
Dispose of waste and wastewater in compliance with company and safety regulations
Follow hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times
Assist other departments with cleaning-related tasks when needed
Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies and report shortages
Qualifications & Skills:
Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards
Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
Physically fit to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
Attention to detail and cleanliness
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Prior experience in a similar utility or cleaning role is an advantage but not required
Working Conditions:
Exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, and wet environments
May require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Shift-based work, including weekends or holidays as required
