Maintain optimum parameters: pressure, temperature, water level, TDS, air pressure etc.
Conduct routine checks and log sheet entry for all utility systems.
Assist in start-up and shutdown of utility machinery as per SOPs.
Check fuel level, water quality, and smooth running of all utility machines.
Perform minor troubleshooting in case of alarms or abnormal sounds/conditions.
Report any breakdown or abnormality to Utility Engineer/Shift Incharge immediately.
Support preventive maintenance activities.
Ensure safety compliance and housekeeping of utility area.
Follow energy-saving practices and avoid wastage of resources.
Overall responsible for smooth operation of all utility systems:
Boilers, Thermopac, HVAC, Air Compressors, Cooling Towers, Water Treatment Plants, DG Sets, Fire Hydrant System, ETP/STP

Plan and execute
preventive maintenance schedule
for utility equipment.
Ensure legal compliance for boiler and pressure vessel operation, pollution control norms, and safety standards.
Monitor energy consumption and implement
energy-saving initiatives
.
Coordinate with production departments to ensure uninterrupted utilities supply (steam, air, water, electricity).
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues in utility equipment.
Handle breakdown maintenance and coordinate with external service contractors.
Maintain all records: log books, maintenance reports, permit-to-work, statutory documents.
Ensure safety practices (LOTO, hot work permit, confined space entry) in utility area.
Plan for spare parts requirement and inventory management.
Prepare MIS reports for management.
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
3-7 years of experience in textile / process / manufacturing industry utilities.
Strong knowledge of boilers, steam distribution, compressor systems, HVAC, WTP/RO/Softener, pumps, DG operations.
Good understanding of statutory requirements related to boiler inspector, pollution control, electrical safety.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability.
Ability to lead a team of operators and technicians.
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Fitter, Boiler Attendant or related trade.
1-3 years of experience in textile / chemical / manufacturing plant (preferred).
Knowledge of boiler operation, pump operation, compressor system, cooling tower functioning.
Ability to work in shifts.
Basic troubleshooting knowledge and logsheet handling.
