Utility Operator cum Electrician (Boiler Operator)

Position Overview:

The Utility Operator cum Electrician (Boiler Operator) will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining plant utility systems such as boilers, compressors, cooling towers, and electrical panels. The role ensures smooth utility supply to production units while maintaining safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:Boiler Operation:

Operate and monitor the boiler safely and efficiently. Maintain proper steam pressure, water level, and fuel consumption records. Carry out routine cleaning, blowdown, and maintenance of the boiler. Support statutory inspections and ensure compliance with safety norms.

Utility Operation:

Operate and maintain air compressors, cooling towers, and water treatment plants (RO/Softener/DM). Monitor performance and ensure continuous utility supply to production areas. Record daily readings and report abnormalities immediately.

Electrical Maintenance:

Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical panels, motors, and equipment. Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure timely rectification. Check and maintain lighting, MCC panels, and wiring systems.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow all safety procedures and use PPE while performing tasks. Report unsafe acts or conditions promptly. Maintain housekeeping and ensure compliance with environmental and energy-saving norms.

Qualification & Experience:

Qualification:

ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Certificate:

Valid

Boiler Attendant Certificate (1st or 2nd Class)

is preferred.

Experience:

2-3 years of experience in

boiler operation, utilities, and electrical maintenance

in a

chemical or manufacturing industry

.

Skills Required:

Good knowledge of boiler and utility system operations. Basic understanding of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. Awareness of safety and statutory compliance. Ability to work in shifts and handle emergencies.

Smooth and continuous utility supply. Zero unplanned breakdowns. Compliance with boiler and safety regulations. Timely completion of preventive maintenance.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
