Job Description

To lead and manage the Utility Maintenance section ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all utility systems including compressors, cooling towers, pumps, cranes, and related plant facilities. Responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, planning and execution of shutdowns, and maintaining compliance with ISO and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Utility Equipment Maintenance



Supervise and perform maintenance of:

o

Screw Compressors

-

o

Cooling Towers

-

o

Centrifugal Pumps



o

Thickener Plant, Nitrogen Plant, and Sand Filter



o

Induction Furnace and Dust Collection Systems



o

Boiler



o

Water treatment



o

Other miscellaneous works related external departments



Ensure optimal performance and reliability of all utility systems through preventive and predictive maintenance.

2. EOT Crane Maintenance



Perform routine preventive maintenance on EOT cranes of various capacities (63/25 Ton, 16/8 Ton, 10 Ton, 7.5 Ton, 5 Ton, etc.) Forklifts Maintenance(10 Ton,5Ton)

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.

Oversee repair/replacement of key components such as:

o Brake shoes, couplings, motors, gearboxes, wire ropes, LT/CT wheels, etc.

Maintain detailed records of maintenance, inspection, breakdowns, and repairs.

Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for major overhauls and upgrades.

Support installation, commissioning, and modification of cranes for performance improvement.

3. Maintenance Planning & Execution



Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.

Prepare and implement

shutdown maintenance schedules

to minimize downtime.

Supervise

old roof sheet removal and new roof sheet installation

and

dewatering works

of the DI Plant.

4. Compliance & Documentation



Ensure compliance with

ISO standards

, safety, and statutory requirements.

Maintain and update SAP-based maintenance records and documentation.

Prepare reports and analysis for breakdowns, maintenance performance, and downtime.

5. Safety & Team Management



Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to PPE and workplace safety norms.

Conduct safety inspections and ensure cranes and utilities meet all safety regulations.

Lead and train maintenance personnel to enhance technical capabilities.

Coordinate with operations to minimize plant downtime and ensure smooth utility support.

Work Environment:



Involves work in

hot, noisy industrial environments

, often at heights and near heavy machinery.

Requires physical fitness and readiness for

on-call duty

during breakdowns or emergencies.

Required Skills & Competencies:



Strong technical knowledge of

mechanical systems

.

Expertise in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.

Proficiency in

SAP

for maintenance management.

Familiarity with

ISO documentation

and maintenance standards.

Good communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.

Material management with respect to cost control and criticality.

Quality inspection on materials

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
