The Team




Deloitte's Assurance business plays a key role in providing clients with advice on accounting and reporting complexities, financial accounting risk management, capital markets transactions, and enhancing overall financial reporting operations.


The Technical Accounting and Reporting ("TAR") offering team (which is a subgroup within the Assurance business) assists clients in their compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations and delivers actionable insights to clients navigating evolving accounting and reporting requirements. You will be joining a growing team of talented professionals dedicated to serving clients on complex financial reporting and technical accounting matters, focused on IPO readiness, M&A transactions, and carve-outs.


Work you'll do




The TAR Manager plays a key role in providing clients with advice on complex financial reporting and technical accounting matters. This position entails leading and executing accounting and reporting projects focused on IPO readiness, M&A transactions, and carve-outs, including drafting financial statements, preparing pro forma disclosures, and supporting the preparation of SEC registration statements.


Conduct comprehensive research on applicable U.S. GAAP accounting standards in response to unique client transactions. Guide clients in preparing detailed documentation, including transaction evaluations and risk assessments. Evaluate the impact of newly issued accounting pronouncements under U.S. GAAP and SEC rules; communicate implications and recommendations to clients. Assist clients in preparing or enhancing documentation of accounting policy positions and memos. Advise clients on a range of capital market transactions, such as IPO and SPAC readiness, post-IPO or SPAC services. Support financial statements and uplift initiatives and prepare draft registration statements in accordance with regulatory requirements. Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and compliance with applicable reporting standards.

Responsibilities



Lead accounting advisory engagements, addressing complex regulatory and accounting issues that arise throughout project execution. Oversee and manage team knowledge sharing, ensuring effective dissemination and retention of technical expertise within the group. Demonstrate advanced technical accounting and reporting proficiency, continually developing specialized industry knowledge as required. Apply a comprehensive understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations to all aspects of client deliverables and advisory work. Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, identify and evaluate new business opportunities to drive growth. Exhibit advanced project and people management skills, ensuring effective multitasking, adherence to deadlines, and high-quality standards. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by actively contributing to internal knowledge sharing sessions and team development initiatives.

Educational qualification



Chartered Accountants/ Certified Public Accountant with minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in technical accounting matters.

Skills required



Proven experience in managing complex technical accounting engagements with accountability for deliverables and outcomes. Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules, and regulatory reporting requirements. Strong analytical and research skills to address complex technical accounting issues. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders. Experience advising clients on capital market transactions and financial reporting matters. Ability to prepare high-quality documentation and support clients in transaction-related reporting activities.
