Job Description

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user assistance and training documentation for Oracle applications. Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to design our next generation of user assistance technology and implementing new embedded help delivery mechanisms that improve how technical information is delivered to our customers. Work with development teams to implement code for new user assistance mechanisms.

Develop user assistance assets for assigned Oracle products, including documentation, tutorials, illustrations, and videos, using Oracle's tools, templates, and standards. Create content that empowers users to accomplish their tasks and achieve business goals by focusing on practical guidance and use cases rather than just describing product features. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather information, understand feature requirements, and align user assistance with strategic product goals and user needs. Work closely with fellow writers by sharing projects and responsibilities, actively exchanging knowledge, and participating in or leading discussions at user assistance and feature team meetings to set documentation priorities. Develop and review documentation plans for major product changes and new features. Stay current with trends in user assistance, such as AI-driven content creation, personalization, and interactive help tools, by regularly participating in Oracle training and using internal resources to continually develop your skills. Lead cross-functional initiatives that drive improvements to user assistance across teams or lines of business. * Monitor Oracle social media and engagement channels, such as Slack and Customer Connect, to identify gaps or opportunities for improving documentation and user assistance.
