Job Description

Established in 2008, Wierenga.Tax is an income tax preparation firm. We are a team of tax, accounting, and legal professionals that provide our clients with assistance in wealth creation and preservation strategies.

The position includes the following responsibilities:

Extremely high attention to detail Ability to work in an efficient manner Self-starter and proactive in approach Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently Desire to manage a team of preparers Desire to interact with clients Desire to provide valuable insights on increasing productivity IRS PTIN and CAF preferred 6+ years of experience reviewing tax returns by analyzing the prior, current, and future tax year. Please do not apply if you do not have 6+ years of experience. There will be a lengthy U.S. income tax return test during the first interview. Extensive understanding of, and ability to discuss, the actual tax forms and schedules, beyond what a tax software data entry provides. Please do not apply if you rely on tax software to tell you what to do.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting Chartered Accountant, preferred IRS Enrolled Agent, preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent customer service skills Pass a criminal and civil background check High speed internet and multiple computer monitors Smartphone for multi-factor authentications

Experience:

U.S. Income Tax return preparation and review: 6-10 years. Minimum of 1,000 U.S. income tax returns prepared. Microsoft Excel: 5-10 years Knowledge of Intuit ProSeries tax software a plus Knowledge of Tax Dome CRM a plus Knowledge of Quickbooks a plus
