US payroll, HR compliance, and benefits administration
. The ideal candidate will have previously worked with a US company and is comfortable handling multi-state payroll, onboarding, and HR documentation independently.
Key Responsibilities
Process US bi-weekly payroll for W2 employees and 1099 contractors.
Manage all new hire documentation, including W-4, I-9, direct deposit forms, and related paperwork.
Oversee onboarding and offboarding procedures for US employees.
Maintain accurate HR and payroll records while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Administer employee benefits such as health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k).
Prepare and review payroll reports, tax filings, and related summaries.
Assist with performance review cycles, policy updates, and internal HR communication.
Support management through HR reporting and compliance audits.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience
in HR and payroll for
US-based companies
(mandatory).
Knowledge of
US payroll laws, taxes, and compliance
across multiple states.
Experience using
Gusto Payroll
, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of
W-2 and 1099 classifications
.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working
US business hours (EST)
.
Proficient in
Google Workspace / Excel / HRIS tools
.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in
healthcare, billing, or technology sectors
.
Knowledge of
benefits administration and employee compliance
.
