US Accounting & Payroll Specialist



Position Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

US Accounting & Payroll Specialist

to manage end-to-end accounting operations and payroll processes for our US entity. The role requires strong knowledge of

US GAAP, federal and state payroll regulations, and compliance standards

, along with hands-on experience in payroll management systems.

Key Responsibilities


Accounting:



Manage general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. Handle journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations, including sales tax, income tax, and corporate tax filings. Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders as required.

Payroll:



Administer end-to-end US payroll processing on a bi-weekly/weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain employee payroll records, benefits deductions, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Prepare payroll tax returns and ensure timely filing with IRS and state authorities. Resolve payroll discrepancies, respond to employee payroll queries, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate onboarding/offboarding and benefits administration.

Qualifications & Skills



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred). 2-6 years of experience in

US accounting and payroll

. Strong understanding of

US GAAP, federal & state payroll laws, and tax compliance

. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and payroll systems (ADP, Gusto, Paychex, or similar). Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and reconciliation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
