The candidate will assist in performing CFD simulations related to fluid flow, heat transfer, and turbulence using commercial or open-source CFD tools. The role involves close collaboration with design and engineering teams to support product development and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CFD simulations for fluid flow and thermal analysis under guidance from senior engineers.
Create, modify, and clean
CAD geometries
for CFD analysis.
Generate high-quality
meshes
and conduct mesh independence studies.
Define appropriate
boundary conditions, material properties, and solver settings
.
Run simulations using tools such as
ANSYS Fluent/CFX, STAR-CCM+, Open FOAM
, etc.
Post-process and interpret simulation results including velocity, pressure, temperature, and turbulence data.
Validate CFD results with experimental data or analytical calculations where available.
Assist in design optimization, parametric studies, and performance improvement tasks.
Identify and resolve basic
solver convergence and numerical stability issues
.
Prepare
technical reports, documentation, and presentations
of simulation results.
Follow company standards, modeling best practices, and quality procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design, thermal, and manufacturing engineers.
