Dreamland Escapes is a Kolkata-based travel company specializing in curated domestic and international travel experiences. In 2026, the company is expanding its portfolio to include fixed departure international group tours to global destinations, catering to families, senior citizens, and special-interest travellers.
The Ticketing Executive will be responsible for handling all flight bookings, reservations, reissuance, cancellations, and GDS (Global Distribution System) operations. You will coordinate with airlines, third-party ticketing vendors, tour managers, and the operations team to ensure smooth travel arrangements for both individual and group travellers. Accuracy, speed, and professional communication are key to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Airline Ticketing & Reservations
Issue and reissue domestic and international flight tickets through GDS platforms (Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre)
Issue and reissue domestic and international flight tickets through Airlines Portal, Third-party portal. Compare flight options, schedules, and fares to provide the best deals to customers.
Negotiate and bring best Airfare with Airlines directly for Domestic and International flight ticketsfor FIT and GIT.
Handle cancellations, refunds, date changes, and special service requests.
Ensure timely ticket issuance for group departures and FIT bookings.
Rail and Bus Ticketing & Reservations
Handle train bookings via IRCTC or authorised travel portals.
Plan and confirm rail itineraries for domestic and International travel groups and FIT clients.
Manage waitlisted or RAC tickets, cancellations, and refunds.
Ensure timely coordination of seat/berth allocations for group departures.
Maintain updated knowledge of Indian Railways rules, classes, and concession policies.
Coordination & Documentation
Work closely with the operations team to align ticketing with confirmed itineraries.
Maintain accurate PNR records and documentation for all bookings.
Coordinate with airlines for group seat blocks, fare negotiations, and schedule changes.
Prepare and verify travel documents including e-tickets, vouchers, and visa support documents.
Customer Service & Support
Respond promptly to client and internal queries regarding tickets and itineraries.
Provide assistance during travel disruptions such as flight delays or cancellations.
Maintain a courteous, professional tone in all communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Reporting & Compliance
Maintain booking logs and MIS reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies and airline regulations.
Track refunds and follow up with airlines or consolidators for pending claims.
Qualifications and Skills
Graduate with 5-10 years of experience in airline ticketing (B2B or B2C).
Hands-on experience with at least one GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre) is mandatory.
IATA Certification is preferred.
Good understanding of fare rules, airline policies, and visa-related requirements.
Excellent communication skills in English (Bengali or Hindi preferred).
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
