Install, maintain, and repair mechanical components and systems of production and utility equipment.
Preventive Maintenance:
Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance activities to minimize breakdowns and ensure equipment reliability.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose mechanical faults, identify root causes, and perform corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.
Machine Assembly & Disassembly:
Assemble and disassemble machinery parts, bearings, gearboxes, and other components as required.
Fitting Work:
Perform precision fitting tasks including alignment, leveling, and securing mechanical parts.
Equipment Overhauling:
Support in the overhauling of machinery during planned shutdowns or major maintenance projects.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all safety standards and company policies while carrying out maintenance tasks.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, tools used, parts replaced, and time spent on tasks.
Tool Handling:
Use hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently for fitting and repair work.
Team Coordination:
Work closely with other technicians, production staff, and engineering teams to ensure minimal downtime and efficient equipment performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic welding.
Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Basic understanding of safety and quality standards in an industrial environment.
