Designation: Accounting Analyst - Record to Report (R2R)

Job Summary:

The R2R Accounting Analyst is responsible for performing accounting activities related to the record-to-report (R2R) process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The role involves managing journal entries, reconciliations, month-end/quarter-end/year-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transactions to be recorded in GL:

Standard journal entries /Accruals (expense/revenue) /Provisions (bad debts, gratuity, warranty)/ Prepayments / deferred expenses/Re classifications and allocations.

2. Period-End Close Activities

Accrual postings (payroll accruals, utility bills, interest, etc.). Amortization of prepayments & deferrals and recurring journals Expense allocations across departments.

3. Reconciliations

Bank reconciliations. Subledger to GL reconciliations (AP, AR, Inventory, Payroll, FA). Balance sheet reconciliations (advances, provisions, accruals). Trial balance and P&L review.

4. Fixed Assets Accounting

Asset additions / Transfers between cost centers or entities / Retirements / disposals of assets / Depreciation run and postings /Asset impairment adjustments.

5. Intercompany Accounting

Intercompany invoices / billing entries. Intercompany settlements and reconciliations

6. Compliance & Audit

SOX/internal controls validation. External audit support.

Qualification / Experience:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (MCom/MBA preferred). Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience in Record to Report (R2R) Location: Mysuru Shift: Should be flexible

Key Skills required:

Experience in shared services or multinational environments is a must. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and reporting tools. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls. Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/US GAAP) and financial reporting processes. Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives within R2R processes. Support transformation projects, ERP implementations, and process migrations as required.
