Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Back-End Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications and integrations for our jewellery e-commerce platforms. The role requires expertise in databases, APIs, performance optimization, and secure data handling. Prior experience in the jewellery or retail/e-commerce industry will be considered a strong advantage, as the role involves managing complex product catalogs, transactions, and customer data with high accuracy and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Back-End Development & Architecture

• Design and develop secure, scalable, and high-performance back-end systems.
• Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support front-end applications.
• Ensure efficient handling of jewellery product catalogs, transactions, and user data.

Database Management

• Design, optimize, and maintain relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Ensure high availability, integrity, and security of data.
• Implement efficient indexing, caching, and query optimization techniques.

Integration & System Support

• Integrate ERP, CRM, and payment gateways with e-commerce platforms.
• Support inventory, order management, and customer account modules.
• Ensure seamless data flow between internal systems and third-party applications.

Optimization & Security

• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
• Implement best practices for scalability, reliability, and load balancing.
• Enforce strong data security protocols, encryption, and compliance standards.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate with front-end developers, QA, and project managers for end-to-end delivery.
• Mentor junior back-end developers and guide them on coding standards.
• Participate in sprint planning, architecture reviews, and technology roadmaps.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Research emerging back-end technologies and suggest improvements.
• Implement automation to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.

Contribute to designing system architecture for jewellery e-commerce platforms.
Attributes of the Ideal Candidate
Key Attributes:

• 8-12 years of professional experience in back-end development.
• Strong knowledge of js, PHP, Python, or Javawith frameworks (Express, Laravel, Django, Spring).
• Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with e-commerce, retail, or jewellery back-end systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
