Job Summary:

The Float English Teacher provides instructional coverage and academic support across multiple grade levels and classrooms as needed. This role ensures continuity of instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher and supports the English department in maintaining a high-quality learning environment focused on language proficiency, literacy, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and academic standards. Provide classroom coverage for English teachers during absences, professional development days, or when additional support is required. Adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the needs of diverse learners. Manage classroom behavior effectively and create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Assess student understanding through formative and summative assessments when applicable. Collaborate with other English teachers to maintain curriculum consistency and instructional quality. Participate in department meetings, training sessions, and school-wide activities as needed. Support student development in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. Maintain accurate attendance and grading records during coverage periods.
