Job Summary:
The Store Manager is responsible for managing the complete store operations in a fabrication unit, ensuring timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and tools required for production. The role includes inventory control, material handling, documentation, and coordination with purchase and production departments for smooth workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage receipt, storage, and issue of raw materials, tools, consumables, and finished goods.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper tagging, stacking, and storage of materials.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the Purchase Department for timely material replenishment.
Implement FIFO (First In First Out) and LIFO (Last In First Out) methods as applicable.
Ensure proper handling and storage of heavy fabrication materials like steel plates, sections, welding rods, fasteners, etc.
Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile physical stock with system records.
Prepare and maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), Issue Slips, and Material Return Notes.
Coordinate with production, quality, and dispatch departments to meet daily operational requirements.
Maintain safety standards in the store area and ensure compliance with company policies.
Supervise and guide storekeepers, helpers, and material handling staff.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for material movement and stock position.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of fabrication materials and consumables
Experience in ERP / Inventory management systems
Good coordination and communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving ability
Knowledge of safety and housekeeping in industrial stores
Team management and leadership skills

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
