Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all fabricated components and assemblies meet company and client quality standards. The role involves inspecting materials, monitoring welding and fabrication processes, maintaining quality documentation, and coordinating with production and clients to achieve zero-defect manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process items, and finished fabricated components. Review fabrication drawings and ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards. Conduct dimensional inspection, visual inspection, and welding inspection as per WPS (Welding Procedure Specification). Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test certificates, and quality documentation. Monitor fabrication, welding, and assembly activities to ensure adherence to approved procedures. Identify non-conformities, raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and ensure corrective and preventive actions. Coordinate with production, design, and client inspection teams for quality approvals. Ensure calibration of measuring instruments and maintain calibration records. Implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS - ISO 9001 or equivalent). Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards during inspection activities.

Key Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, and machining processes Familiar with quality standards like ISO 9001, ASME, and AWS Proficient in using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.) Understanding of WPS, PQR, and NDT methods Good documentation and report preparation skills Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities
