Deccan PU College

represents a new chapter in the long-standing legacy of K.N. Guruswamy

Educational & Charitable Trust (KNG Trust), founded by Shri K.N. Guruswamy in February 1988. A

social visionary and renowned philanthropist, Shri Guruswamy was also the founder of the Deccan

Herald and Prajavani newspaper groups. Today, the Trust is led by Chairperson Mr. K. N. Tilak Kumar,

Joint Managing Director of Deccan Herald-Prajavani, and Director Mrs. Sujatha Tilak Kumar, a leader

in sports and education management.

Deccan PU College is looking for a passionate and experienced

English Faculty

with

3-5 years of teaching experience

to deliver high-quality instruction, support student development, and contribute to academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Teach

English

for PU students as per the prescribed syllabus and academic calendar Plan and deliver engaging lessons to improve

reading, writing, speaking, and grammar skills

Prepare students for

exams, internal assessments, and board-level evaluations

Conduct regular tests, assignments, and classroom activities Maintain student attendance, academic records, and performance reports Provide mentoring and academic support to students when required Participate in department meetings, college events, and academic planning Ensure discipline and maintain a positive classroom environment Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance learning outcomes

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in English

(MA English preferred)

B.Ed

is an added advantage

3-5 years of relevant teaching experience

in PU/College level Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to engage students and improve academic performance
