Job Description

Prepare, set up, and arrange apparatus, specimens, chemicals, and models required for Biology practical classes. Assist teachers during lab sessions and help students perform experiments safely and effectively. Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene in the laboratory. Store, label, and handle chemicals, reagents, glassware, and biological samples properly. Ensure proper disposal of biological and chemical waste as per safety protocols. Maintain laboratory stock registers, inventory, and ensure timely requisition of consumables. Carry out routine inspection and minor maintenance of microscopes, glassware, and other laboratory instruments. Ensure compliance with school laboratory safety guidelines and educate students on safe lab practices. Support in organizing science exhibitions, projects, and laboratory demonstrations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Biology, Life Sciences, or related discipline.

3-5 years of experience

as a Biology Lab Assistant/Technician in a school or academic institution. Sound knowledge of laboratory techniques, specimen preparation, and equipment handling. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to coordinate with teachers and guide students patiently.
