Job Description

The Playgroup Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children (typically ages 2-4). The teacher will facilitate early childhood learning through play-based activities, songs, stories, and interactive experiences, while also supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and early learning. Foster a warm, caring, and inclusive classroom environment. Encourage the development of basic skills such as listening, speaking, motor skills, and social interaction. Introduce children to routines and good habits (toilet training, hygiene, sharing, tidiness, etc.). Use storytelling, rhymes, songs, art, and play to enhance language and cognitive skills. Observe, assess, and document children's progress and behavior. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child's development, needs, and achievements. Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization of the classroom and play areas. Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to maintain smooth functioning of the playgroup. Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education / Montessori Training (preferred). Previous experience working with young children in a preschool/playgroup setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children. Creativity in designing engaging activities and lessons. Ability to manage a classroom with energy, enthusiasm, and care.

Work Conditions:

Indoor and outdoor classroom/playground settings. Requires lifting, bending, and actively engaging with children. Flexible to participate in school events, celebrations, and parent meetings.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
