Job Title: Senior Urban Designer (15+ Years Experience)

Reports To: Associate Director / Urban Design Lead
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Urban Designer with over 15 years of professional experience in urban design, master planning, and large-scale urban development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong design vision, leadership skills, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams through all stages of design -- from concept to implementation.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage urban design and master planning projects of varying scales, from concept to detailed design stages. Prepare and present high-quality design concepts, reports, and visual materials to clients, stakeholders, and authorities. Coordinate with architects, planners, engineers, landscape architects, and environmental consultants. Ensure design quality, sustainability principles, and contextual sensitivity are integrated into all project deliverables. Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on design methodologies and documentation. Participate in business development activities, proposal writing, and client presentations. Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and urban design assessments. Stay updated with local planning regulations, design standards, and emerging global urban trends.

Required Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or Planning (Master's in Urban Design preferred). 10+ years of relevant experience in urban design or master planning with a reputed consultancy or design firm. Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality urban design and large-scale project experience. Proficiency in design and visualization tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, and GIS (preferred). Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Deep understanding of sustainable design principles, mobility planning, and urban regeneration strategies. Proven leadership and project management capabilities.

Desirable:Experience working on international or mixed-use master plans. Familiarity with Smart City or Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) projects. Membership in professional bodies (ISOCARP, ULI, IUDI, etc.)
