Data Services Lead Analyst - PowerBI (L5)

Positions Open: 1 | Location: Bangalore

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Effectively handle the reports basis inputs allocated and achieve all the contractual SLA\xe2\x80\x99s

2. Understand all aspects of data preparation/data modelling necessary for the visualization purpose.

3. Capture reporting requirements from various stakeholders, architect the solution/report, understand/analyze the source data and deliver the reports in timely manner

4. Strong expertise in designing intuitive and interactive reports/dashboards using Power BI for data driven decisions.

5. Performance Monitoring, fine-tuning and optimization of reports/dashboards

6. Knowledge on connecting to multiple data sources through Power BI is required.

7. Experience in publishing and sharing the dashboards, scheduling data refreshes.

8. Should have handled complexity around visualization and/or data.

9. Should have strong SQL skills, preferably over SQL Server, strong Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts.

10. Experience on any ETL tool preferably SSIS is a plus.

11. Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents

12. Worked on DAX query

13. Able to connect Power BI with various data source

14. Strong understanding of Power BI user and group security configuration

15. Take ownership of issues and work internal and customer functions to resolve them

16. Understanding of company policies & procedures

17. Participate in effective time tracking of activities handled in a day using MI recording tools provided

18. Demonstrate highest level of integrity whilst dealing with activities relating to the operations

19. Simplify reporting using automation interventions and continually have an appetite to move dashboard into self service models

20. Excellent command over SLA reporting \xe2\x80\x93 defining data sources, data structures, KPIs

21. Ability to analyze data and provide insights to leadership

22. Proactive identification of issues by building lead indicators and appraising leadership on EWS

Skills required:

Excellent Power BI Skills

Excellent MS Excel Skills : Advance user + VBA Expertise

Strong SQL / SSIS skills

Strong Exposure in building dashboards, reports in excel

Able to compile data from various insurance (customer) sources

Excellent interpersonal skills & comprehension skills

Excellent analytical skill

Knowledge on insurance area is an add-on

Qualification

Graduate in any discipline

Similar work experience of 3-5 years
