Purpose of the role


To consistently achieve and improve quality metrics by adhering to quality systems and procedures through periodic review, implementing improvements and supporting delivery achievement.

Primary Responsibilities


Monitor the Unit performance on quality indices, conduct periodical review and take actions. Identify and implement actions towards improving Vehicle direct pass, Engine rework, painting rework and scrap cost Implement actions on Customer complaints related to MIW parts (M2, M3, M4 and M5 actions) Improve process capability of critical parameters. Assess competency and facilitate need based training to workmen, Team leader and Group leader Improve effectiveness of all employees through their involvement in TEI activities Certify inspectors for appearance inspection Approval of PPAP and EJO. Identify & implement countermeasures and standardize for NCRs Control non-conforming and suspect product Validation of risk in concession on part & process (ECF). Verify and validate the changes before implementation Identify the Group leaders to participate in alpha Review TMOS / QCPC / FMEA updation

Approval for changes in Control plan, PFMEA and PPAP standards

Approve process qualification and enter process parameter levels in QCPC

Approval of ECF for using machine if PM pending for > 1 month

Approval of ECF under concession for non conforming products/changes in process

Approval for using Not OK fixture till target date of action

Approval of workmen leave, movement slip, stores requests

Approval of inspectors certification

Assess competency of Team leaders and Group leaders

Performance Appraisal of Executives and workmen

Recommend transfer of workmen, team leader and group leader across zone/cell within unit

Approval of RGP for material movement
