The Team Lead - Medical Underwriting (Semi-Voice Process) will be responsible for leading a team that reviews and validates client-submitted documents such as Group Health Questionnaires, Census files, SBCs, and current invoices for completeness and accuracy. The role involves entering and verifying plan details, creating benefit comparisons for renewal presentations, and ensuring high-quality, timely deliverables to US-based clients.
The Team Lead will oversee daily operations, allocate tasks, perform quality checks, and ensure SLA and accuracy targets are met. The position also involves periodic communication with clients (voice and non-voice) to clarify requirements or resolve discrepancies. In addition, the Team Lead will coach and mentor the team, monitor performance, generate process reports, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and data security protocols.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of US Healthcare and Medical Underwriting processes.
Expertise in reviewing and validating Group Health Questionnaires (GHQ), Census data, Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC), and current invoices for completeness and accuracy.
Ability to prepare and validate benefit plan comparisons for client renewals.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Validation, Conditional Formatting).
Experience working in non-voice operations with occasional client communication (voice & written).
Strong understanding of process SLAs, quality, and TAT management.
Experience in team handling, performance monitoring, and reporting.
Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
* Comfortable working in US shifts and managing deliverables across time zones.
