To implement Scor's underwriting and claims policy and principles and ensures risks are assumed on a sound and profitable basis.
Ensure that the underwriting and claims conforms with SCOR Global Life underwriting and claims guidelines
Underwriting proposals within defined authority
Referring cases beyond authority to senior underwriter and Head of Underwriting & Claims.
Conduct audits of the underwriting practices of the direct companies.
Provide timely claims assessment support for clients.
Involvement in treaty preparation.
Client servicing and training with respect to underwriting and claims
Underwriting and Claims MIS
Work closely with business development team to enhance client relationships and new business opportunities
Work closely with the claims and the underwriting department of the client companies and brokers.
Maintain interaction with other departments across SCOR to contribute to multi-function projects
Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks, sharing insights and potential business impacts with the broader team.
Required experience & competencies
Experience in Health &/or Life Insurance (Underwriting & Claims) of 8 -10 years
Good Understanding of the India Market from risk and client perspective; Pleasant personality, self-motivated and good contacts in the market
Ability to present on local & regional level
Required Education
Degree in Science, Pharmaceutical science, MBBS, BAMS or BHMS
