We're looking for a
UK Property Finance Manager
to take ownership of financial reporting, portfolio performance, and decision-support for a UK-based real estate platform. This role blends
hands-on accounting, commercial analysis, and stakeholder partnership
, making it ideal for a finance professional who wants visibility, influence, and real business impact.
You'll work closely with operations, asset management, and leadership teams to ensure financial accuracy while translating data into insights that improve occupancy, yield, and asset performance--particularly across residential and student accommodation portfolios.
What You'll Do
Property Income & Portfolio Accounting
Own end-to-end rental income accounting across multi-property portfolios.
Track rent collections, arrears, concessions, and deferred income.
Reconcile rental cash flows and highlight trends, risks, and recovery opportunities.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of income recognition across assets.
Management Reporting & Financial Insight
Deliver monthly and quarterly portfolio-level financial reports.
Analyze performance against budgets and forecasts with clear, commercial commentary.
Develop insights on occupancy, NOI, cost efficiency, and asset profitability.
Support leadership with data-driven narratives--not just numbers.
Commercial & Asset-Level Support
Partner with asset managers and operations teams on performance reviews.
Provide financial analysis to support pricing, cost control, and asset optimization.
Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.
Contribute to commercial decision-making with scenario and sensitivity analysis.
Controls, Close & Compliance
Manage month-end close activities including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
Perform bank reconciliations across multiple property accounts.
Maintain strong financial controls aligned with UK accounting standards.
Support internal and external audits with high-quality schedules and documentation.
Systems, KPIs & Process Improvement
Work hands-on with property finance systems such as
Yardi, RealPage, or similar
.
Track and report portfolio KPIs with a focus on actionability.
Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, improve accuracy, and automate processes.
What Will Help You Succeed
Experience & Knowledge
Strong background in
UK property or real estate finance
.
Experience handling rent-led income models and multi-asset portfolios.
Solid grounding in management accounting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Exposure to
student accommodation (PBSA)
or residential assets is a strong plus.
Skills & Attributes
Highly analytical with the ability to translate financial data into business insight.
Confident engaging with non-finance stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, ownership-driven, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.
Systems-savvy with hands-on reporting and reconciliation capability.
Preferred Qualifications
Qualified or part-qualified
CA / ACCA
(or equivalent).
Experience in property operators, real estate funds, asset managers, or advisory firms.
