Position Title:

UG NX Design Engineer

Experience Required:

3-5 Years

Location:

Chennai

Key Responsibilities

Develop

3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings

using

Siemens UG NX

. Create

parametric models

and maintain design intent for new and existing components. Generate

2D manufacturing drawings

, GD&T, tolerances, and BOMs. Work on

sheet metal, casting, machining, plastic components

, or based on domain requirement. Perform

design modifications

, engineering change updates (ECNs/ECRs), and improvement activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers. Conduct

design reviews

, resolve design issues, and maintain documentation standards. Ensure compliance with

industry standards

, company guidelines, and customer specifications. Support

DFMEA

, DVP, VA/VE, and other engineering processes (as applicable). Prepare and maintain

CAD libraries, templates, and standards

.

Required Skills

Strong proficiency in

Siemens UG NX

(modelling, drafting, surfacing, assemblies). Good knowledge of

GD&T

(ASME Y14.5). Experience with

Teamcenter / PLM systems

is preferred. Familiarity with

manufacturing processes

(machining, sheet metal, plastics, casting). Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Knowledge of

NX CAM

or

NX Nastran/Simcenter

. Experience in

design optimization

or

CAE basics

. Understanding of

DFM/DFA principles

. Exposure to

international client projects

.

Qualification

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
