Job Summary:
The Test Rider will be responsible for riding and evaluating two-wheelers (motorcycles/scooters) under different conditions to assess performance, quality, safety, and comfort. The role involves following defined test procedures and providing detailed feedback to the engineering and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct road and track testing of two-wheelers as per the company's testing protocols.
Evaluate vehicle performance, handling, braking, mileage, vibration, noise, and overall ride quality.
Perform durability tests by riding vehicles for long hours under various conditions.
Identify abnormalities, defects, or performance issues and report them accurately.
Maintain detailed logs and provide feedback to R&D, QA, and technical teams.
Ensure the vehicle is handled safely and responsibly during all test cycles.
Follow all safety guidelines, wear prescribed riding gear, and comply with testing standards.
Assist the technical team during vehicle inspections, adjustments, or re-testing.
Requirements
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent riding skills with confidence in handling scooters and motorcycles of different engine capacities.
Strong understanding of road safety and traffic rules.
Ability to ride for long durations and under different terrains/conditions.
Basic mechanical understanding of two-wheelers (added advantage).
Good observation skills and ability to provide clear, honest feedback.
Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor fieldwork.
Requirements:
Valid two-wheeler driving license with good riding history.
Willingness to travel for testing activities, if required.
Comfortable with early morning or flexible testing schedules.
Prior experience as a rider, delivery executive, motorsport rider, or test rider is an advantage but not mandatory.
