Tutor - Medical Surgical Nursing

Qualification

B.Sc Nursing

Must be registered with the

State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council (INC)

Experience

Minimum 3 years of clinical and/or teaching experience

Experience in

Medical Surgical Nursing areas

is mandatory
Job ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Support

Assist in

theory and practical teaching

for Undergraduate Nursing students Conduct

clinical demonstrations, bedside teaching, and skills training

Prepare lesson plans, clinical teaching schedules, and teaching aids Support faculty in evaluation of

assignments, clinical records, and internal assessments

Guide students in nursing care plans, case studies, and procedures
Clinical Responsibilities

Supervise students during

clinical postings

in medical and surgical wards Ensure safe and effective nursing practices during clinical training Demonstrate standard nursing procedures as per hospital protocols Maintain coordination with clinical instructors and ward staff
Administrative & Institutional Duties

Maintain student attendance, clinical records, and log books Assist in academic and clinical documentation as per

INC and University norms

Participate in departmental meetings and institutional activities Support examination duties and accreditation processes
Skills & Competencies

Sound knowledge of

Medical Surgical Nursing

Good

communication and teaching skills

Ability to guide and motivate students Professional ethics and discipline Team-oriented approach
Reporting To

Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Head of Department
