22-Oct-2025 Job Title: NPD Setter Department:

New Product Development / Tool Room / Production Engineering Reports To: NPD Engineer / NPD Manager / Production Head Job Purpose: To support new product development by setting up machines, fixtures, and tooling for trial runs, sample production, and PPAP batches as per process parameters and drawing requirements.

Key Responsibilities: ₹ Set up CNC/VMC/Lathe/HMC machines for NPD components as per process sheet and control plan. ? Support NPD engineers in trial production and prove-out of new parts. ? Verify tooling, fixtures, and gauges before start of trials. ? Ensure proper setting of cutting tools, offsets, and parameters for dimensional accuracy. ? Conduct initial inspection and coordinate with quality for first-off approval. ? Record machining parameters, observations, and improvements during trials. ? Assist in fixture proving, tool life study, and process optimization. ? Support PPAP batch preparation and maintain NPD documents (setup sheet, inspection reports). ? Maintain machine, tool, and fixture condition to ensure repeatability. ? Follow all safety and 5S practices during setup and trial activities.

Key Skills & Competencies: ₹ Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC/HMC setup and operation. ? Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. ? Experience in fixture setting and tool offset adjustment. ? Familiar with measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height gauge, Bore gauge, etc.). ? Basic knowledge of process planning, trial reports, and PPAP documentation. ? Problem-solving ability and attention to detail. ? Coordination skills with production, quality, and tool room teams.

Qualification & Experience: ₹ Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Tool & Die, or Production Engineering. ? Experience: 5-12 years in machining setup, preferably in NPD or tool trial activities. ? Industry: Automotive / Engineering Components / Machining. ? RM: Cast iron, EN, Aluminum

Performance Indicators: ₹ Accuracy of setup and first-off approval rate. ? Adherence to NPD schedule. ? Reduction in setup time and rework. ? Machine and tool utilization efficiency. ? Quality of trial and PPAP batches.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
