Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

Turning Machine Operator

with strong expertise in

lathe operations

,

metal turning

, and

precision machining

. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to working with

manual and conventional machines

and deliver high-accuracy components as per engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and set up

manual/conventional turning machines

. Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing instructions. Perform

metal turning, grinding

, and

surface finishing

as required. Ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring tools (vernier, micrometer, etc.). Maintain proper machine functionality and report maintenance needs. Handle different materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) based on production needs. Follow safety standards and maintain a clean working environment. Collaborate with quality control teams for inspection and corrections.

Required Skills:

Proven experience in

lathe machine operation

(manual preferred). Proficiency in

metal turning and grinding techniques

. Strong knowledge of machine tools and mechanical systems. Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings. Attention to detail and precision in measurements. Good physical stamina and safety awareness.

Preferred Qualification:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Tool & Die / Production / Fitter or relevant trade. Previous experience as a

Metal Turning Technician

or

Grinding Operator

is an added advantage.
