Job Title: Turner (1-2 Years Experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled

Turner

with 1-2 years of hands-on experience to operate lathe machines and produce precision components as per engineering drawings. The ideal candidate should have basic machining knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Operate

manual and/or CNC lathe machines

to manufacture components according to specifications Read and interpret

engineering drawings, blueprints, and job instructions

Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces for turning operations Perform machining operations such as

facing, taper turning, threading, grooving, and drilling

Measure components using

vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges

, etc. Ensure components meet

quality and dimensional standards

Maintain machines and tools; perform basic preventive maintenance Follow

safety rules, SOPs, and shop-floor discipline

Maintain production and inspection records Work closely with supervisors and quality teams to resolve issues
Required Skills & Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in

Machinist, Turner, or relevant trade

1-2 years of experience

as a Turner in a manufacturing setup Basic knowledge of

cutting tools, materials, and machining parameters

Ability to read technical drawings Familiarity with quality standards and tolerances Willingness to work in shifts, if required
Preferred Skills

Exposure to

CNC turning

Knowledge of

ISO / quality systems

Basic troubleshooting skills
