Job Description

The Turner is responsible for operating lathe machines to manufacture precision components as per drawings and specifications. The role involves machining, measuring, quality checking, and maintaining machine accuracy to meet production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate

conventional lathe machines

to machine metal components. Interpret and understand

engineering drawings, tolerances, and machining symbols

. Select appropriate tools, cutting speeds, feeds, and materials. Perform turning, threading, facing, drilling, boring, taper turning, and other machining operations. Measure and inspect finished components using

vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators

. Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications. Ensure proper machine maintenance, tool sharpening, and cleaning. Work closely with the supervisor for job priorities and production schedules. Maintain records of daily production and report any issues or deviations. Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

ITI Turner / Diploma in Mechanical (preferred).

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience

in lathe machine operations. Strong understanding of machining practices and engineering drawings. Good knowledge of measuring instruments and quality standards. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and precision.

Work Conditions:

Machine shop environment. May require working in shifts. Standing for long durations and handling heavy components.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
