Operate lathe machines (conventional/manual) to perform turning operations on metal components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams to understand dimensions and tolerances.
Measure and mark workpieces using precision tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Set up tools and workpieces correctly to ensure precision and safety.
Perform machining operations such as facing, turning, threading, boring, grooving, and taper turning.
Check completed components for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet specified tolerances.
Maintain tools and machines in good working condition through routine checks and basic maintenance.
Follow safety standards and ensure cleanliness of the working area.
Coordinate with supervisors and other team members for job priorities and timelines.
Maintain proper records of work done, tool usage, and any issues encountered.
Skills Required:
Hands-on experience in operating lathe machines (manual).
