This position has a primary responsibilities of Selling, Planning, Organizing and Implementing all the
account management activities related to sale and distribution of the companies products in a given territory/ region. The Area Sales Manager has high accountability for achieving territory/ region sales quotas and objectives. This position will focus within a defined medium to large size territory/ region with new and existing business accounts while developing and maintaining long-term relationships with hospital KOL's to facilitate future and current sales growth Principal Responsibilities: Ensure the execution and implementation of the corporate strategy to achieve the growth expectation of the responsible product category within the territory/ region.
Achieve Area AOP in terms of Sales & Revenue, strictly adhering to the principles and guidelines of the
company
Providing training, presentations and demonstrations to the customers, distributors and their sales force on
the use of companies products using effective communication and sales techniques.
Sales growth facilitation by conducting daily calls on physicians, hospitals, clinics and other organizations that
require medical device products as well as scientific instruments that focus on patient care.
Educating the customer regarding the indications, contraindications, and safety of the company's products,
and how they fulfil the needs of the customer.
Supporting and helping to facilitate the execution of regional training, CME programs, workshops and
tradeshows within the territory/ region.
Maintaining updated knowledge of the industry and competitive products. Provide technical expertise to
clients regarding company's products. May gather data on marketing trends and competitive products and pricing.
Direct the day to day management of product aspects, marketing programs and Marketing/sales support in
the coverage area.
Develop local key opinion leaders (KOLs) and leverage relationship with KOLs for regional voice of customer
(VOC) and feed new idea process.
Distributor management - collection of S&S statement, discussion on coverage and penetration, stock position and timely supplies to accounts
Support RSM/ NSM's in appointing the area channel partners as per business needs
Ensure that the receivables are strictly under control with respect to DSOs and ensuring that there are no overdue accounts
Completing administrative responsibilities including quarterly business plans, day to day activities and expense reports in online sales reporting system.
Maintaining compliance with all applicable quality and regulatory guidelines as an integral part of business operations.
Maintain consistent communication with the RSM/ NSM's on all matters related to the territory and area, including accurate forecasting.
Build relationships with customers to influence the acceptance and use of company's products.
Negotiate sales contracts and pricing with customers; review existing contracts to identify those expiring within two months for follow-up.
Direct the creation and manage the marketing programs to increase penetration and drive sales of existing products - sales and product promotions, and customer targeting.
Conduct product and competitor research to remain on the forefront of medical device technology
Perform other duties as assigned by immediate manager
Interact with internal personnel to resolve customer complaints and questions.
Adhere to and ensure the adherence of Teleflex Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor in science/ Masters in Science. Experience in Marketing will be an added advantage. 6+ years sales and/or marketing experience required. Experience with execution of Sales and marketing activities mandatory.
