Designation: TSM Backup Administrator

Experience: (4 +Years relevant) Less than 4 years will not entertain

Qualification: Any degree / Diploma

Location: Bengaluru

Roles and Responsability

Install, configure, and manage IBM TSM/Spectrum Protect environments Monitor and troubleshoot daily backups and restore operations Manage storage pools, volumes, and tape libraries Plan and test disaster recovery procedures Automate tasks using scripts (bash, PowerShell, etc.) Generate backup reports and monitor job statuses Ensure data protection, compliance, and retention policies Handle backup scheduling, reclamation, and data migration Support capacity planning and performance optimization Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Test and document disaster recovery (DR) and recovery plans Manage TSM user accounts, roles, and access permissions Integrate TSM with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Tivoli Monitoring) Work closely with storage, server, and application teams for data protection Create and automate backup schedules and client options sets
