Senior Executive - Trucking
They will be responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day operations related to trucking and freight movements within US logistics. The role focuses on ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of shipments while maintaining strong relationships with carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders. The Sr. Executive plays a key role in load planning, dispatch coordination, tracking, and resolving service issues to support smooth transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end trucking operations, including load planning, dispatch, and tracking. o
Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and drivers to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery. o
Monitor shipment status, handle exceptions, and provide timely updates to customers and internal teams. o
Negotiate rates and ensure cost optimization while maintaining service quality. o
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. o
Analyze operational performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. o
Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit and reporting purposes.
Required Skills & Qualifications: -
Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
2-4 years of experience in US trucking / logistics operations
Prior experience in load planning, dispatch, or carrier management
Experience with Logisys, Cargowise, SAP, Experience working in a fast-paced, 24x7 logistics environment (preferred)
Strong knowledge of US trucking operations, lanes, and freight movement processes
Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
Good understanding of carrier and broker coordination
Ability to plan and monitor loads effectively (dispatch, tracking, exception management
Excellent communication skills for dealing with carriers, drivers, brokers, and internal teams Negotiation skills for rate discussions with carriers/brokers
Problem-solving ability to manage delays, service failures, and escalations
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and logistics software
Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA, and other US trucking regulations
