Job Description

1. Electrical Installation & Supervision

Execute electrical installation of industrial heaters, control panels, temperature controllers, and power supply units on site. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings. Ensure installation meets industrial electrical codes, standards, and client specifications.

2. Commissioning & Testing

Carry out pre-commissioning checks and full commissioning of industrial heater systems. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and control system issues during installation and commissioning phases. Perform system testing including continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, and functional testing of heaters and control systems.

3. Project Coordination

Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams for smooth site operations. Liaise with client site engineers, contractors, and internal project managers. Report daily progress and site challenges to the Project Manager.

4. Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with electrical safety protocols and company health & safety policies. Prepare and maintain site documentation such as Installation Checklists, Test Reports, and As-Built Drawings. Follow Permit-to-Work systems and participate in safety briefings and toolbox talks.

5. Maintenance Support (if applicable)

Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance support for installed heater systems post-commissioning. Provide troubleshooting support remotely or on-site for after-sales service.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

2-5 years

of site experience in industrial electrical installation. Prior experience with

industrial heaters

, thermal systems, or high-power electrical equipment is preferred.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, wiring practices, and protection devices. Understanding of temperature control systems, PLC basics, and instrumentation (preferred). Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics. Familiarity with national and international electrical standards (e.g., IS, IEC).

Soft Skills:

Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure in challenging site conditions. Willingness to travel to project sites for extended durations.
