Hybrid Working

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We\xe2\x80\x99re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:

The Treasury Asset and Liability Management (ALM) Transform programme is focused on the delivery of the required changes that will build adherence to BCBS368 regulatory expectations, improve the ALM control environment and create the capabilities to drive additional commercial value across ALM risk management and hedging activities. The purpose of this role is to support transformation activities to ensure outcomes align with finance architecture strategy, driving standardisation, efficiency of operation and future state design principles. This will include data analysis, process assessment, and future state operating model/process design, promoting best practice design concepts and solutions.

What will you be doing?
The ALM Data and Reconciliations Transformation Lead is accountable for owning specific initiatives as part of the overall Treasury architecture strategy. This will include:

  • Become a trusted advisor to Treasury, Finance, PIO and Technology colleagues regarding the ALM Transformation programme and wider Treasury business architecture strategy;
  • Actively drive transformation outcomes for the function, through a strategic lens, pro-actively identify opportunities for improvement, develop the conversation and challenge the status quo;
  • Narrating and championing the transformation journey, provide guidance and support to Treasury business users;
  • Presenting and influencing key stakeholders at the Design Authority, Project Forums and other project meetings.
Key programme responsibilities include:
  • Be responsible for specific designs for the program, facilitate design workshops and prepare topics for the programme wide design authority;
  • Work closely with SMEs, Programme Managers and various Business Analysts to understand business requirements and how they translate into system, data and process change;
  • Analyse data sources to support the creation of design proposals;
  • Analyse the end to end, both within Treasury and Finance, to understand reconciliations and controls
  • Manage stakeholder to agree solutions that meet business requirements in a holistic manner \xe2\x80\x93 acknowledging the interplay across teams, systems and data;
  • Agreeing the UAT and testing strategy including identification of use cases and examples;
What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:
  • Financial Services experience, with knowledge of Treasury, Finance or Risk processes, systems and technologies;
  • Appreciation of data principles, and strong data manipulation skills, including experience using Microsoft Excel and data manipulation tools (e.g. Qlikview, Business Objects, Tableau, SQL, SAS, Snowflake)
  • Communication and leadership, including influencing and negotiating with a broad set of stakeholders; presenting verbally and leveraging Microsoft PowerPoint to tell a story.
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Experience of technology and process change within Treasury, Risk or Finance, with a track record of working on a variety of relevant projects; either from a change or business perspective;
  • Knowledge of ALM principles (e.g. Interest Rate Risk Management and Hedging processes), legislation (e.g. BCBS368) and key reports (e.g. ICAAP);
  • Business analyst skills including data interrogation, process design, requirements documentation, process mapping, user story creation and system UAT testing;
  • Qualified accountant, business analyst or other relevant professional qualification.
