The Travel Desk Sales Executive is responsible for handling corporate and individual travel requirements including ticketing, hotel bookings, travel planning, and customer support. The role focuses on providing seamless travel solutions while achieving sales targets and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end travel arrangements including flight bookings, hotel reservations, cab arrangements, and travel insurance.
Communicate with clients to understand travel needs and provide suitable options within budget.
Prepare travel itineraries and offer best-fare quotations using GDS/online booking tools.
Upsell additional travel services (upgrades, packages, insurance, etc.) to maximize revenue.
Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and customer details.
Resolve any travel-related issues, cancellations, or rescheduling requests.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors (airlines, hotels, travel agencies).
Track daily sales, meet monthly targets, and prepare performance reports.
Ensure compliance with company travel policies and industry regulations.
Provide excellent customer service and support before, during, and after travel.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline; certification in travel & tourism is an advantage.
1-3 years of experience in travel desk operations or travel sales.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Good negotiation abilities and sales mindset.
Proficiency in MS Office and online travel portals.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
