Job Title: Travel Consultant Job Summary A Travel Consultant is responsible for assisting clients in planning, booking, and managing travel arrangements. This includes flights, hotels, tours, transportation, and travel insurance. The role requires excellent customer service, strong destination knowledge, and the ability to provide cost-effective and personalized travel solutions. Key Responsibilities Understand client travel requirements, preferences, and budgets Plan and book domestic and international travel packages Arrange flights, hotels, car rentals, visas, and travel insurance Provide accurate information on destinations, weather, culture, and travel rules Handle itinerary changes, cancellations, and travel emergencies Maintain client records and manage bookings using reservation systems Promote special deals, holiday packages, and travel offers Ensure high customer satisfaction and build long-term client relationships
Skills & Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of travel destinations, airlines, and hotel booking systems Ability to multitask and work under pressure Sales and negotiation skills Basic computer skills (MS Office, booking portals) Graduation or diploma in Travel, Tourism, or Hospitality (preferred) Experience Fresher or 1-3 years of experience in travel consultancy or tourism industry Experience with GDS systems (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre) is an advantage Work Environment Travel agency, tour operator office, or online travel company May include weekend or holiday work depending on client needs
